À la suite de la démission, le 21 février 2024 , de Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, elle est nommée au poste de Premier ministre par le président de la république Félix Tshisekedi le 1er avril 2024 , trois mois après le début de son second mandat.

 Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo se dit informé que certains politiciens sont commanditaires de la déstabilisation de la partie Est du pays où les populations sont régulièrement massacrées par les groupes armés.

Dans une conférence de presse tenue ce jeudi 08 octobre 2020 à Goma, Félix Tshisekedi a promis « des poursuites immédiates » contre ces politiciens sans tenir compte de leurs immunités.

Le président Congolais affirme également que d'autre part, l'insécurité dans l'Est du pays nait aussi des conflits fonciers entre chefs coutumiers. C'est ainsi qu'il a affirmé qu'il existe « plusieurs crises dans cette crise d'insécurité ». D'où, l'urgence d'œuvrer de très près pour y mettre un terme.

Le puissant quotidien belge Le Soir sous la plume de sa journaliste " spécialiste de l'Afrique" Colette Braeckman tout en regrettant que ce Coup d'Etat ait raté, se mélange les pinceaux dans ses explications. En effet elle attribue cet échec a l'incurie des auteurs" mais aussi a des failles "des failles sécuritaires" . Ce qui est contradictoire, car ces failles devraient plutôt favoriser sa réussite.
