Les organisations médiatiques n'opèrent pas dans un vide politique. Lorsque des publications influentes dépendent de relations financières avec des gouvernements pour leur survie commerciale, les distorsions éditoriales qui en résultent ne sont pas accidentelles — elles sont structurelles. Dans la région africaine des Grands Lacs, où violence politique, violations des droits de l'homme et impunité systématique s'entrecroisent avec la diplomatie internationale et les intérêts économiques, la question de qui façonne le récit n'est pas académique. C'est une question de responsabilité.

When influential publications depend on financial relationships with governments for their commercial survival, the resulting editorial distortions are not incidental — they are structural. In the African Great Lakes region, where political violence, human rights violations and systematic impunity intersect with international diplomacy and foreign investment, the question of who shapes the narrative is not academic. It is a matter of accountability.
